I often get asked this question as not only do we have to conquer the cold, we have to attempt to look stylish too for all those Christmas parties. Want to know what I would advise? Colour. Colour is a great way to break up darker outfits and incorporate some fun into your look, plus a colourful boot looks great against snow!
Boots and jeans are the perfect combination, especially in winter. It’s a go-to mixture that cannot fail. But why not try something a little different? Red boots are great and look fabulous with black skinny jeans, blue jeans, boyfriend jeans and even leather look trousers.
Leopard print shoes are a great way to add some print to your look, whether you go for a court shoe, or ankle boot, leopard print is now classed as a classic and easily pairable print.
Over the knee boots are now a wardrobe staple year after year. These look amazing over jeans and will also keep your legs warm. Over the knee boots also look great with dresses, so you can re-wear dresses from spring but just add the boots to transport them through to winter. Go for flat or heeled, whatever you’re most comfortable in.
Loafers are great if you are looking for a shoe to go with trousers or culottes. With the Gucci loafers taking the world by storm, they have now earned a place in our hearts. Whether you go backless or traditional, loafers are so easy to wear and look super stylish too.
As usual, Zara is taking the fashion world by storm this season with their amazing collection of footwear. Their pearl detail ankle boots have already been sold out twice over and they have heaps and heaps of velvet! Anyway, lace-up ankle boots look great with a skirt and jumper combo and can of course, be worn with jeans! Get some, if you can find them….
There are of course loads of other shoes you can wear throughout the cooler months, but the ones i’ve mentioned above are staples that will work year-after-year. Still not sure about shoes? Give me a call, I can help with that!
